This group of dog lovers got together in Lincoln to celebrate the first International Day of the Dog on 30th April 2006. Organiser Sue Bosworth was interviewed by Matthre Pike for The Lincolnshire Echo newspaper and for BBC Radio Lincolnshire.

These dogs were quite happy to celebrate the day walking with their human carers.

It was a beautiful day, just right for a walk across the common. Several of the people walking commented that their dogs were much more relaxed and did not try to 'get at' the other dogs as they often did. Since there were no expectations or demands being made of them, and also because the humans were relaxed, the dogs simply chilled and enjoyed the afternoon.

Some dogs took a swim, while others were happy to simply 'hang out' with their owners.
